Community Initiatives

The Epilepsy Association has several local Groups/Chapters around the Province and in New Brunswick (Fredericton), as well as the Fun Club in Halifax. The Groups/Chapters provide peer support (usually by phone), fundraise and raise awareness through initiatives like Purple Day.

EANS Epilepsy Fun Club

The Epilepsy Fun Club is a social/recreational club, run out of the EANS office, for adults with epilepsy and their friends. Members fundraise to support their activities, such as group outings or parties for special occasions (e.g. Halloween, St. Valentine's Day). Peer support is forth- coming when needed. The Fun Club has its own newsletter, The Fun Club Gazette, which chronicles the doings of the members and upcoming events. For more information, contact Kelli or Janice at 429-2633.
