Walk or run in the Blue Nose Marathon and help us meet the Challenge!

The 8th Annual Scotiabank Blue Nose Marathon is set to go on Sunday, May 20th, 2012. The Scotiabank Group Charity Challenge was launched in 2009 as an exciting new opportunity for our community to make Race Weekend even more meaningful while providing a great opportunity to local charities to have participants join the race as well as raise money for their specific cause. We are inviting you to join the EPILEPSY TEAM and be a part of something special, help your community and, most importantly, HAVE FUN!

The Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia was proud to be selected as one of the charities represented in the Scotiabank Group Charity Challenge in 2011 and hopes to be selected again in 2012. We want to be in the forefront of this event and help bring epilepsy out of the shadows BUT we need your help.

This is a fun event that will give you the opportunity to be part of a strong, PROUD community. All pledges that you raise will support our epilepsy programs and services, which so many people with epilepsy depend on! You can feel good about joining our team.

To become a member of our team you must first register for the Marathon. Online registration usually begins in December. At that time you register by going to www.bluenosemarathon.com/EN/registration. The earlier you register, the more money you save!

Once you’ve registered for the Marathon, go to Charity Challenge and click on The Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia. You will be prompted to create your own fundraising page and send out e-mails to potential sponsors. If you would like to sign up and do not have access to the Internet, please let the EANS office know (429-2633) and arrange to come in and have someone sign you up. We hope to raise more money than ever in 2012, but with your help, we can do it – YES WE CAN!
